Chobe Chilwero is an elegant luxury lodge where 'romantic Africa' becomes a reality. Comprising fifteen spacious thatched cottages, set well apart from one another, each with indoor and outdoor showers, a sunken handcrafted bath, mosaic floors and a private garden. Chilwero means ‘place of the high view’, the lodge is set up high on an escarpment over looking the Chobe River and the views down to the river are superb. Everything about the lodge, including the rooms, is suitably impressive. 

 

Chilwero offers boating trips on the Chobe River, and 4x4 game drives, in the early mornings or afternoons. As well as fishing (extra charge) and excellent birding trips.For those wanting a relaxing break during their safari there is an impressive split level swimming pool, a library, and a selection of in-room spa treatments are available.

 

Dining at Chilwero is a serious affair. As with all Sanctuary Lodges there is a superb chef in residence and the food is always accompanied with fine wine specially selected from the lodge's temperature controlled cellar.
