BOTSWANA GROUND OPERATORS

Botswana's lodges, camps and private concessions are run by a number of different operating companies. We have decided to use what we see as the best of an excellent bunch and have tried to create a spread across the board as to what they offer to suit the needs of all our customers. You can mix and match with different operators or you can stick to a certain brand - it makes no difference. There is a short description of what style and what type of customer these operators cater for. They are listed below in price order starting with the most expensive.

Wilderness Safaris - Wilderness is first and foremost an upmarket conservation company. They have some of the best lodges, private concessions in all the right areas and serve a superb combination of good homely food and excellent guiding.

Sanctuary Lodges - Affliated to Abercrombie & Kent, Santuary Lodges provide a superb upmarket product. Like Wilderness they do a lot for conservation in more areas than just Botswana, have excellent positions for their lodges and camps and pride themselves on being able to bring fine dining to their remote lodges.

Kwando Safaris - Solely operating in Botswana and owned by a Botswana citizen, Kwando is all about focussing on the game and less on the frills of your tent or room and private plunge pool. Here everything revolves around your wildlife experience.

Ker & Downey - Ker & Downey is one of those names that is and always will be associated with exclusive, yet traditional safari experiences. After 40 years, it has developed into one of Botswana’s most respected and efficient photographic safari operators, representing comfort, service and personal attention.
