Banoka Bush Camp, opened in Autumn 2010, comprises of 10 tented units located in the Khwai Community Concession, one of the most diverse areas in northern Botswana, which seldom disappoints when it comes to producing extraordinary wild life experiences.

The life source for this area is the Khwai River - the northernmost "finger" of the Okavango Delta alluvial fan. The camp is named in honor of the River San, or Banoka, ancestors of the Khoi and the earliest settlers of the Okavango Delta.

Guided game drives will explore the Khwai Concession and adjoining Moremi Game Reserve with nature walks also possible. Mokoro excursions float down the Khwai's secretive channels to provide that classic Delta experience.

Khwai reserve is one of the most diverse regions of northern Botswana and the Okavango Delta in terms of habitat. Riverine woodland and open floodplains flank the river and attract herds of plains game along with the predators that hunt them.
 
Away from the river and Delta lagoons, the fauna changes to mopane woodland dotted with open grasslands which, together with the abundance of water, attracts herds of elephant and buffalo.

Activities offered from Banoka BushCamp include day and night safari drives, morning walking safaris, seasonal mokoro (dug-out canoe) excursions and visits to Khwai village on request.
