Little Vumbura Camp is a Classic Wilderness Camp and boasts some of Botswana's best all year game viewing, with habitats ranging from waterways and lakes, to dry open grasslands.
The camp, which was recently completely rebuilt (Nov 2007) comprises six large luxury tented rooms, with hot and cold running water, a shower, and flush toilet. The main dining, lounge and bar area is tucked beneath a canopy of indigenous trees, and there is a swimming pool with views across the floodplain.
The variety of wildlife here is stunning. Safari guests can go out by boat in the morning and see hippo, crocodile, red lechwe and a vast array of aquatic bird-life, and then travel out in an open roofed Landrover in the afternoon and see elephant, cheetah, sable and the abundant plains game.
Situated nearby, the larger sister camp Vumbura Plains has twelve rooms. It offers similar standards of holiday luxury, and has a particular emphasis on water based game viewing.
