Phinda Private Game Reserve

Phinda Private Game Reserve comprises 17,500 hectares of prime conservation land bordering the Great St. Lucia Wetland Park - a World Heritage Site.  The reserve has seven distinct habitats which shelter abundant wildlife including Africa's Big Five and over 380 bird species. 

Phinda's four main lodges take their names from the habitats in which they are found: Phinda Forest Lodge, Phinda Mountain Lodge, Phinda Vlei Lodge and Phinda Rock Lodge.  Additionally, the exclusive new Phinda Zuka and Phinda Getty are smaller lodges designed for sole use with families in mind.

Safari activities at Phinda Game Reserve are plentiful - enjoy game-drives, interpretive bush walks, canoeing on the Mzinene River, White Rhino tracking, or watch the sunrise or sunset whilst enjoying a Mzinene Riverboat Cruise

Phinda Walking Safaris offer an exhilarating walking adventure in Phinda’s pristine wilderness, guaranteeing an exceptional and interpretive South African wildlife safari experience. Operated on a daily basis with a maximum of 8 guests the safaris are led by experienced rangers and trackers. 

Accommodation is offered in 4 spacious safari tents with comfortable beds and en-suite toilet & hot bucket showers. Phinda Walking Safaris combine really well with a stay at one of the Phinda Lodges for a longer 5 or 6 night safari!
