Manda Bay Lodge
Manda Bay is a small lodge comprising 10 spacious beach front cottages overlooking the calm waters of Manda Bay. Situated on a secluded peninsula on Manda Island, the lodge is surrounded by magnificent coral gardens, empty beaches and indigenous woodland. All the buildings at Manda Bay Lodge are constructed with local materials in the traditional coastal style, with palm-thatch roofs and woven matting covering the floors. The cottages are specially sited to catch the cooling sea breezes and all have en-suite bathrooms, locally crafted Lamu furniture and private verandas.

Manda Bay Lodge is an excellent choice for families. Two of the cottages can be adapted into comfortable family rooms and the gently sloping beaches provide safe snorkelling in water that is warm, gentle and clear.
Water based holiday activities at Manda Bay Lodge include snorkeling, dhow sailing, water-skiing, scuba diving (by arrangement), fishing, windsurfing and sailing. Manda Bay's 60 foot traditional sailing dhow - the 'Utamaduni' - can also be chartered for overnight trips exploring the uninhabited islands of the archipelago. It comes equipped with scuba diving equipment and a compressor.
