Pinewood Village is a small boutique style hotel on the quiet and deserted shores of Galu Beach, one of the finest beaches south of Mombasa. Set amidst colourful bougainvillea and tropical palms, there are 40 rooms and 20 one bedroom suites which come complete with a personal chef for dinner.

The rooms are spacious, with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and a private balcony. The villas each have air conditioning, a lounge and dining area, kitchen and en-suite bathrooms.

Each villa comes with an experienced private chef, allowing guests to eat within the privacy of their own villa, as well as taking meals in the hotel's main restaurant.

Facilities include an attractive swimming pool, snack bar, the 'Peponi Beach Bar & Restaurant', a dive base, a floodlit tennis court, a shop and a beauty saloon.

 

Kitesurfing hire and lessons, water-skiing, kayaking, windsurfing, quad bikes, sailing, snorkeling trips and barbecues on Chale Island can all be arranged at the in-house watersports centre called Aqualand.
