Itinerary

Day 1 London - Nairobi
Depart London Heathrow on the Kenya Airways* overnight flight to Nairobi.

Day 2 Nairobi - Masai Mara
On arrival in to Nairobi you shall be met and transferred in a private car to Nairobi Wilson airport in time for the scheduled flight to the Masai Mara. On arrival in to the Masai Mara you shall be met by a driver and guide and transferred to Governors Camp where you shall stay for 6 nights in a standard tent with all meals and two game drives per day included.

Rise early and take a hot air balloon safari that will take you up and above the plains. Once you land, enjoy a bush breakfast (cooked on the burners) before beginning your day of game driving – ask us for a price.

Governors’ Camp nestles in the forest along the winding banks of the Mara River, it’s waters teeming with bird-life, hippo and crocodile, in the heart of Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve. Some of the 37 tents line the riverbank, tucked into the forest they enjoy uninterrupted views over the Mara River, others have views across the sweeping plains of the Masai Mara. Everything is under canvas, all tents have en-suit bathrooms with hot and cold running water and flushing toilets. There is a bar tent with deck overlooking the Mara River and dinning tent with views over the plains.

Upgrade: For something smaller and luxurious, but still in the heart of the action then upgrade to Naibor Camp – this small but perfectly formed camp on the banks of the Talek river comes highly recommended from both clients and Imagine Africa’s Jen who visited last November. House drinks (excl. champagnes and premium spirits) are also included at Naibor.

Day 3 - 7 Masai Mara
Spend your days game driving in the Masai Mara Game Reserve – witness river crossings and the herds flooding across the plains.

Day 8 Masai Mara - Nairobi
This afternoon you shall be game driven to the airstrip in time for the scheduled flight to Nairobi. On arrival in to Nairobi you shall be transferred in a private car to Palacina Suites for dinner and to freshen up before your flight. This evening you shall be transferred to Nairobi International airport (JKIA). Fly overnight to London Heathrow (via Nairobi) with Kenya Airways.

Day 9 London Heathrow
Arrive back in to London Heathrow this morning and back to reality...
