Arabuko Sokoke Forest
Covering an area of over 400 sq kms, the Arabuko Sokoke Forest is the last large area of indigenous coastal forest in Kenya, and is the key site for the global survival of three mammal and six bird species.

The Arabuko Sokoke Forest Guides Association has several expert guides who accompany visitors on forest walks. These guides are expert ornithologists and can help visitors find and see some 260 bird species in the forest.
These include the endangered Sokoke scops owl, Sokoke pipit, east coast akalat, spotted ground thrush, amani sunbird and Clarke’s weaver, which are regularly observed by visitors.
Arabuko Sokoke lodges: no lodges in the park - see Watamu or Malindi hotels.
