View from your luxury tent at Kilima Camp
Kilima Camp opened in December 2006 and is a luxurious private tented Camp bordering the Masai Mara Conservation area. Kilima Camp is surrounded by an abundance of wildlife, and offer a true African adventure in style and comfort. Game viewing, whether by car or on foot, around Kilima Camp is superb all year round.  From July to October you may witness the Great Migration where more than one million wildebeests and zebras cross the Mara River, an event which happens nowhere else in Africa. Kilima Camp is eco-friendly and consists of only twelve tents on top of the Siria escarpment, overlooking the Mara River with a phenomenal view.

Each tent has its own verandah and en-suite bathroom. All tents benefit from a fabulous view over the Mara plain and Mara river. Double or Twin rooms are available. The bathrooms are fitted with flush toilets and a safari shower with hot water. Lighting is also solar powered.

The spacious, central dining tent is Kilima Camp's meeting place where guests gather to eat, drink, talk, play games, read, or just enjoy the view.  Kilima Camp’s chef has extensive experience managing kitchens in luxurious tented campsites and provides you with excellent international cuisine, supplemented by a selection of fine wines. Exclusive bush picnic luncheons for full day safaris, breakfast by the river, sundowners and bush dinners can be arranged on request at Kilima Camp

Kilima Camp highlights include expertly guided safaris driving or walking, with Kilima’s professional guides and trackers to make sure you have an unforgettable bush experience.  Kilima also offer an exclusive bush experience including overnight camping in the bush with dinner. The camping is a great opportunity to admire the amazing African sunset and listen to the sounds of nocturnal animals, while breakfast is a chance to watch hippos as they laze in the Mara River.  It won't be as comfortable as Kilima Camp but it will be unforgettable, dining and sleeping on the banks of the Mara River. Kilima also has easy access to the hot air balloon safaris.

Kilima Camp can arrange a day trip to Lake Victoria. The second largest freshwater lake in the world. Lake Victoria, geographically dominates the surface area with its 70,000 km2. It borders on three countries - Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. The basin is home to the Luo people, who moved into the area from the Sudan in the 15th century and are now Kenya's third largest ethnic group.  Fly to an island on the lake and spend the day fishing, walking, swimming and relaxing, before returning to Kilima Camp in time for pre-dinner drinks.
