Many smaller species of antelope like Dik Dik, Grey Duiker & Steinbok are found in the grassy bush-land bordering the imposing Mau escarpment. Sweeping views from the verandah have changed little from the bygone days of the early pioneers who settled in this area at the turn of the century.
Below the house, guests can explore the lake shore with its mass of water birds including Pelicans and Flamingos as well as game drive in the yellow barked Acacia forests looking for Leopards. With inviting waterholes below the main house it is possible to view a procession of thirsty game at close quarters.
Built in the old traditional style of local stone and timber, Kiangazi House has three double en-suite bedrooms within the main house and two further double en-suite bedrooms just beyond the swimming pool.
Homestead amenities including a sitting room, dining room, bar and library are found within the house and guests can also play tennis or relax by the pool. With so much space and privacy, time here moves slowly and one can absorb oneself without disturbance.
The hosts at the house can organise for guests to take game drives and sundowners in the Oserian Wildlife Sanctuary and also drive or walk along the lakeshore.
