LAKE NAKURU

Lake Nakuru national park covers 188 sq kms and is dominated by the shallow waters of the lake at its centre. The birdlife is superb with over 450 species recorded, including, at certain times of year, over a million flamingos. Large mammals include tree climbing lions, buffalo, waterbuck, hippo and Rothschild’s giraffe. Nakuru is also one of the best places in Kenya to see black and white rhino, and for making daytime leopard sightings.
