Sunbird Lodge, an eco-friendly luxury lodge is located in the Great Rift Valley, less than 127 km (1 ½ hours) from Nairobi and a few minutes off the new and superb Nairobi – Nakuru highway on a very good, private access road at the shore of Lake Elementaita, bordering and overlooking Soysambu Conservancy.

Located on private land there are no park or conservation fees in addition to their very competitive rates. On excellent roads it is only 20 minutes to the famous Nakuru National Park and only a few minutes to Soysambu Conservancy where you can experience a balloon safari every morning.

Set on 55 acres (22 ha) on private land between Nakuru and Gilgil, Sunbird Lodge is named after one of the more than 450 species of birds in this area. Beautifully nestled in a pristine environment above Lake Elementaita one can experience amazing sunsets.

You will stay in one of ten luxurious and spacious en-suite Cottages, approx. 55 m² in size including and a large veranda with an unspoilt, spectacular view. All with a king size bed and an additional single bed, exquisitely built with natural materials and thatched roofs.

Enjoy an unspoilt view over Lake Elementaita and Soysambu Conservancy. Sunbird offers some of the best accommodation available in the Nakuru area and is intimate with personal hosting and exceptional food.
