The Hotel
Anjajavy has 25 luxury rosewood villas. Each villa features a large verandah with armchairs and hammock facing the sea, a living room area, breakfast area and a bed room. A small staircase provides access to the first floor which features a relaxation room that can be used as an office or children’s/guest room.

Anjajavy has its own “Oasis” designed specifically to showcase the rarest species of Madagascar. There are a vast variety of aquatic plants, papyrus reeds, tree ferns, climbing plants, palm trees that are home to humming birds, lemurs, malachite kingfishers, Malagasy foudis and even the rrongo.

The forest is also home to many animal species such as the famous Sifaka lemur, the bird of paradise, chameleon and Cuvier’s oplure (a type of iguana). The hotel has signposted trails through the reserve, coastline and fishing villages that you can follow alone or you can take a guided walk to get a fantastic understanding of your surroundings.

You can also explore the sealife. Free snorkels give you an opportunity to see the coral reef or you can take out a canoe and explore the mangroves – look out for the Madagascar fisher eagle!

Other free activities include catamarans, wind-surfing, Mountain biking, Badminton, Volley Ball, French bowls. There are also plenty of fishing excursions – big game and fly-fishing - for an additional cost. Or of course, you can just relax by the pool!
