Domaine de Lokobe

Situated on the far south of Nosy Be Island at the edge of the Lokobe Natural Reserve, the Domaine de Lokobe is a calm and peaceful hotel stretched along the beach. Opened in August 2007 and accessed only by boat, the Domaine de Lokobe is in an idyllic situation and is a peaceful and calm paradise.

All of the 10 bungalows are sea facing and are set within a well kept garden and are spacious and well appointed with large beds and an outside seating area. The hotel has a large pool and a bar and comfy restaurant serving predominantly Malagasy cuisine and fresh fish dishes.

The hotel is perfectly located for excursions into the Lokobe Nature Reserve which has a rich and diverse flora and fauna (the majority of which is endemic to this part of Nosy Be).

Other excursions can be organised to Nosy Komba, a short boat journey across the bay, to Nosy Tanikely to snorkel or dive in the rich underwater nature reserve. The hotel also has a catamaran which the crew are more than happy to take guests out in for a sail in the warm Indian Ocean.

Snorkelling is great simply from the beach, and the hotel can organise snorkelling trips further afield if you tire of the local waters. Other activities on offer are waterskiing and deep sea fishing and PADI diving can also be arranged from Nosy Komba.
