L'heure Bleue

Located on a Hill overlooking the famous Madirokely / Ambatoloaka Bay, L’heure Bleue is set in tropical gardens offering rustic charm in 11 comfortable sea-facing wooden bungalows. Madirokely is the beach occupying the northern part of Ambatoloaka Bay, on the west coast of Nosy Be. The Madirokely village is but a few houses and shops huddling under beautiful trees between the sea and the canefields.

Ambatoloaka is but a few minutes away by walking on the white sand. The "blue hour" is a lovely time at the end of the day, when the hotel is sheltered from the sun, and the bay still simmers away. Each bungalow faces a superb panorama and offers complete solace, while higher up one finds the cordial environment of an intimate restaurant, a bar, a terrace lounge and the sheer luxury of a spring water pool, on the top of the beach!

One can find all the services of a resort on the grounds, and an intimate stay in "Crusoe style" is quite possible here. Meanwhile, the village is easy to reach, and also has much to offer.

Each Bungalow perfectly combines the traditional construction with modern convenience, including en-suite bathrooms, mini-bar and fans. 3 of the Bungalows are duplex so perfect for families with a double bed upstairs and 2 single beds downstairs

Within walking distance of the lively restaurants & bars of Ambatoloaka Bay the lodge allows guests to enjoy both the lively atmosphere but then retreat to the calm gardens of the L’Heure Blue to relax and take in the ocean views.

Facilities at the lodge include a small restaurant serving French and Malagasy food and a small fresh water pool offering a refreshing cooling down during the heat of the day.
