The park's most notable attractions are the crowned lemur and Sanford's brown lemur. With several beautiful walking trails through the forest, ranging from 2 hours to the Sacred Cascade to 14 hours to The Big Lake, it is a fantastic hiking region.

Ankarana is a small vegetated plateau in northern Madagascar known for its limestone karst pinnacles called tsingy along with its extensive cave system and network of underground rivers.
