The hotel has expert guides who can take you to any of the attractions found in the area such as the Red Tsingy, Diego Suarez and the Three Bays and, of course, the Amber Mountain National Park.

Accommodation is made up of only eight spacious rooms and one suite and are all decorated in line with the old colonial style of this converted country residence. Each room boasts ceiling to floor mosquito nets, CD player and a large bathroom with a large bath in which to unwind after a day’s trecking.

Attention to detail and luxury is evident throughout the hotel, examples include; a marble bathroom with a large original marble bath in the room usually reserved for honeymooners and the colonial artwork throughout the hotel.

The private 300ha Le Fontenay Nature Park is almost adjacent to Montagne d’Ambre and has many good trails with view points from which to enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding forest. Anyone with keen eyes and a love for nature will cretainly enjoy the inhabitants of both this reserve and the Amber Mountain National Park.
