Relais de l'Ankarana, Tailor-made Holidays in Madagascar

This little property opened in September 2008, is a basic lodge located just outside the Ankarana reserve. The six wooden rooms here are simple; three rooms have hot water and private bathroom facilities.

Inside the rooms are simply furnished with double or twin beds and a small sitting area. There is a small central building which acts as a restaurant and reception and has open sides to allow in the breeze.

The hotel is set overlooking vast savannas and the small restaurant offers good panoramic views. On arrival at the hotel and its grounds look a little stark but given time the gardens will start to establish themselves. 

The lodge borders the Nature Reserve of Ankarana. This natural park is home to 18,220 hectares in their original environment 10 species of lemurs, 92 species of birds, chameleons, baobab, pachypodiums.

Guides, speaking English or French, who know the community, will lead you in this stunning set of underground rivers, canyons, rain forests, caves and of course, the biggest feature of the scene, TSINGY entered in UNESCO World Heritage!
