Makuzi Beach Lodge is situated on the northern shores of Lake Malawi, in a secluded, tropical bay which is home to an abundance of birdlife. The private beach is the perfect spot to simply soak up the sun or cool off in the safe warm waters of Lake Malawi.

Makuzi Beach Lodge is a family run business and provides exclusivity combined with beauty by only having 10 individual comfortable en suite chalets all with stunning lake views set in perfect gardens.

The main lodge area overlooks the bay. Dining is taken in the restaurant either as a group, via private individual tables or by candlelight on our beach. The Mphandi Kucha Bar is the perfect setting for a few quiet sundowners with a superb view of the lake to compliment your favourite beverage.

Guests can enjoy exploring the surrounding area on foot or beneath the gentle waves either snorkelling or scuba diving; fishing and other boat trips can also be arranged on whim.

The serene and tranquil setting of Makuzi Beach ensures the ideal location for yoga and Meditation retreats and yoga is practiced every day on the beach – something different from the usual lake-based activities.
