Luxury Holidays in the Maldives

The Maldives is a spellbound archipelago paradise on the equator – a necklace of 1,192 coral islets, surrounded by sparkling lagoons, an ideal honeymoon destination. This is a place where your ‘castaway’ dreams come true.  Each island 'houses' its own hotel to really give you the private island feel and the vast majority of these island hotels have ‘water-bungalows’ a real favourite with couples and honeymooners. "There is nothing like falling asleep to the gentle sound of the turquoise ocean after another day in 7th Heaven!"

Honeymoons - Relax and enjoy after your wedding. This is a place where you can be forgiven for doing absolutely nothing – such is the norm in the Maldives! Alternatively it is also a superb spot for water sports as well as a prime scuba diving and snorkeling site.

Scuba Diving -   The Maldives have some excellent coral reefs, but it's the abundance of fish life throughout the country that sets it apart from other dive destinations.

When to go
In the Maldives the weather is mostly dry with very little wind between December and April whilst May to November brings the south-west monsoon and more frequent rainfall.  However, we would class this destination as a year round destination and there are some great prices to go in non-peak season.

Getting there
British Airways have just started flying direct to Male from London Gatwick 3 times a week, Sri Lankan Airlines also fly direct to Male. Other airlines who fly are Emirates, Qatar Airways. On arrival in Male you are transferred to your island by speedboat or by sea plane – depending on where you are going.

Visas
A Tourist Visa (30 days validity) is issued on arrival free of charge.

No official compulsory vaccinations. Typhoid vaccination is recommended, but please seek advice from your doctor or a qualified professional.
