Holidays in Mauritius
Surrounded by glittering coral reefs and over 300 kilometres of glorious sandy beaches, Mauritius is a tropical island paradise. Step back from the palm lined coast and you find a spectacular backdrop of emerald mountains, rainforests, vast sugar plantations and a selection of some of the best hotels in the world.

Holidays to Mauritius are wonderfully simple. Most of the sights can be seen in a day, leaving the rest of the time dedicated to relaxing in your chosen hotel, enjoying the beach and the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. Hotels come in various types, sizes and styles, but facilities are universally excellent and the trademark high standards of Mauritian service are always present. Whether you are seeking supreme luxury, relaxation or activity, water sports or golf, a family holiday or a honeymoon - Mauritius will have a hotel for you.
Mauritius is about twice the size of the Isle of Wight (60 kms long by 40 kms at its widest) and is situated 2,000 kilometres off the east coast of Africa. Blessed with such staggering natural resources, good hotels and friendly people, it is hard to imagine anyone could come here and fail to succumb to its charms.
When To Go
Mauritius has a pleasant climate all year, with day-time temperatures in the mid to upper 20s. Winter months (May to September) tend to have cooler days and less rainfall - therefore less humidity. Summer months (October to April) are hotter, but also have the highest rainfall and humidity. There is a risk of cyclones in January and February (on average cyclones cause four days of windy and rainy weather every year), and sea temperature varies between 22C and 27C.
Visas
UK and USA passport holders do not require a visa for Mauritius.
