Benguerra Lodge

Benguerra Lodge, Mozambique Holidays with Imagine Africa
Strung out along one of Benguerra island’s many magnificent beaches, Benguerra Lodge comprises 13 comfortable en-suite chalets. Built on raised wooden platforms with thatch roofs and reed walls, the chalets merge inconspicuously with the surrounding acacia and mahogany forest, and all have a private veranda opening directly onto the beach. The lodge also has a private villa that sleeps up to six people. Ideal for families or groups - it has a private swimming pool, personal chef and direct access to the beach.

At the centre of the lodge the main buildings include a lounge, dining area, and a patio bar where guests can enjoy an evening cocktail and consider the day’s activities as the sun sets over the Indian Ocean. Benguerra Lodge has a fully equipped dive school from where numerous reefs can be explored. Other holiday activities include snorkeling, big game fishing (Marlin season is November - March), saltwater fly fishing, dhow trips, mainland excursions, picnics, lolling on the beach and wonderful bird watching.
