Mozambique Customer Feedback
"We really enjoyed our 6 night stay here. The diving was great and we’re now fostering two baby turtles!! After speaking to the Marine Biologist who is based at the lodge. Food was exceptional and our room was spectacular and very private which we liked. Thought the wine could have been better however."
"We arrived and went straight for swim, then 10 minutes later we joined the Guludo team for football match against the village, Michael came on in the second half and we won 2 - 1.
Electricity goes off at 5.30, but the gas lamps created a lovely cosy feel to the lodge – we loved it. Plus we saw humpback whales and turtles whilst out diving from Guludo."

"Fantastic food and great service, very friendly and helped us to organise day trips. Hotel could be noisy on some nights due to nearby bar."

"The family had a brilliant time, unforgetable, diving with Manta Rays as big as cars, horseriding on the beach, quadbiking, night safaris. Very exciting and well worth it."

Casa Rex and Vilanculos Beach Lodge “This is just to say a huge thank you for all your help and effort with booking our holiday to Mozambique. It was so kind of you to include all that extra information (including that fantastic guide book and map – which I spread over the WHOLE of my desk this morning) and it has been very much appreciated. Booking things through someone as helpful as you makes everything far easier and I know I wouldn’t be looking forward to the whole thing if you all at ‘Imagine Africa’ hadn’t been so great - so thank you very much.“

| Guludo. “A genuinely innovative and wonderful place – not only is it one of the most idyllic places in the world but it has had a profound impact on where we travel in the future. The work they are doing to preserve the environment whilst helping the local community to benefit from tourism is something for which they deserve a great deal of praise and recognition. I also had a brilliant time diving in the coral reef and the food was excellent. We swam in the sea every day, we scuba dived and met the villagers. We would go back here again and again. Brilliant!”

Nkwichi Lodge - "We had a fabulous time on our holiday and it was great staying in two places. At Nkwichi, it was like staying with old friends, the staff were really friendly and so good with the children, they immediately felt at home. The children were more than happy to go off with the staff on various expeditions. It was just wounderful! My oldest child sobbed when we left."
Kaya Mawa was a different experience. You don't have the interaction with the local staff in the same way, but it had watersports . It was great seeing the youngest water-ski and the children all fell in love with the general managers dog!"

Facilities, location and staff all Excellent! Food and drink good. Room was much simpler than I expected - probably because the standard of the other accommodation we stayed at was so high. But I would go back there in a second, the beach and location was out of this world!
"Probably the best holiday I've ever been on! I will recommend you to anyone after an African holiday."

Guludo - "The most memorable and thought provoking place. Absolutely excellent young English girl cooking whatever the fishermen bring her. Not so good for meat lovers."
"Thatched banda tents very innovative and quite fun. No fans but a little sea breeze so was fine. Lack of electricity and running water not really a problem, only if you want to wear make-up! Staff were very pleasent and helpful. Be aware that the sea disappears at low tide, so not all day swimming but excellent diving and diving instructor. Activities except for diving not really thought through yet."
"Long journey if you go direct there by road - might be better to fly Ibo/Matemo and go across by boat."
"Highly recommend as an experience for a few days"
Ibo Island Lodge - "First impressions Great - civilized and very attractive. Nice pool and grounds and cool stone building. The front bedrooms get the sea breeze. Excellent service - staff trained in Zimbabwe."
"Very good historical walks around village and had an interesting contrast to other places."
Quilalea - "The top for us. Fantastic location and atmosphere. Warm welcome by young South African team. Excellent and very enthusiastic chef who took the trouble to organise our meals in a different surprise location each day. Again lots of fish and shell fish but meat was available"
Excellent diving and snorkelling - the latter even off the beach. Young girl instructor very good."
"Nothing wrong with the service, but might have been nice to have had a drink in the bar with the staff occasionally. Quilalea had the best rooms out of the five places we stayed at during the holiday - just lovely!"
