Lugenda Bushcamp
Lugenda Bushcamp is a safari enthusiast’s dream. Simple and elegant, the thatch-roofed main building overlooks a big bend of the Lugenda River, beyond this, the horizon is dominated by the rugged Mecula Mountains which stand imperious over the arid scrub bush.
Lugenda Bushcamp is the first lodge in the Niassa Reserve and accommodation is in tented rooms which have canvas and thatch roofs and en suite bathrooms including a flush toilet.
With its dramatic granite inselbergs and huge tracts of miombo woodland, its elephants, wild dogs and sable antelope, this vast and seldom-visited stronghold of big game is among the most exciting and least explored areas in Africa.
Lugenda Bush Camp Prices
From £161 per person per night sharing including all meals and game viewing activities.
Prices include all meals, scheduled safari activities and return flights from Pemba airport in northern Mozambique. Due to the remote location the minimum length of stay is 3 nights. Minimum number of persons per booking is 4, bookings of less than 4 are subject to confirmation.
Getting there
Return flights from Pemba airport are included in the above rates. Lugenda Bushcamp can also be reached by air (1 hour) from Lake Niassa/Lake Malawi.
