Moja Safari Wilderness is a place of stunning beauty, of magical wildlife, of vulnerable culture, and a place as yet untouched by the brush of mass commercialisation. It is Moja’s quest is to create a unique safari in this spectacular reserve, by beginning with an unravelling of the word ‘safari’. The true meaning of the word is: ‘a journey’ or ‘new beginnings’, stemming from the Arabic word safa.

It is Moja’s intention to re-introduce guests to the concept of the journey in their unique African safari experience. Moja wish to create a journey of discovery, a journey of magic, a journey of understanding and a journey of joy for their guests. Due to the nature of the wildlife, the scenery and other aspects of Niassa, Moja Safari Wilderness have selected activities and a guest experience that suits the surrounding environment.

Their walking and canoeing safaris are aimed at maximizing the uniqueness of the guest experience whilst ensuring the best quality wilderness appreciation, interpretation, hospitality and service possible. Their safari experience is not your two game-drives a day, tick off the Big 5, anyone-for-Belgian-truffles-type safari… Far from it, in fact, as they feel that travelers these days are smarter and far more value-driven than the same-old, same-old caters for.

Their tented camps are supremely comfortable, with hot water, cold drinks, delicious meals, and cosy beds. However, they encourage you to immerse yourself in Niassa life, feeling part of something rather than feeling disconnected from it. The MOJA experience is one of specialist mobile safaris and will unveil the real Africa, an Africa that is simply captivating

Moja Safari Wilderness’s walking and canoeing safaris cost £250 per person per night.
