Located on the mystical Medjumbe Island in the Quirimbas Archipelago, Medjumbe Island Resort is the perfect destination for a tropical island getaway. The island is only 1km in length and is fringed with wide sandy beaches and clear blue waters.

The idyllic islands that comprise the Quirimbas Archipelago stretch for 250 km along the northern Mozambican coastline, from the historic port of Pemba in the south to the town of Palma in the north.

With its 27 islands virtually untouched and unexplored, the archipelago represents one of the few tropical island destinations in the world still untainted by man's influence. Quirimbas National Park provides sanctuary for the remarkable flora and fauna residing in this marine area.

The 13 thatched chalets nestle in secluded spots just metres from the beach. Each is beautifully furnished and all enjoy excellent facilities including baths, and indoor and outdoor showers.

Guests can cool off in their own private plunge pool or relax in the raised lounge and bar area which has incredible views out over the beach and sea. An elegant restaurant with outside deck serves delicious local cuisine.

The virtually undiscovered reefs of the surrounding marine sanctuary provide fantastic diving and snorkelling. Guests can also enjoy excellent game fishing and a wide variety of water sports. Lazing on the beach or swimming in the warm waters is always a firm favourite.
