Nuarro Lodge, Luxury Beach Holidays in Mozambique

Nuarro Lodge comprises 12 luxury beachfront chalets, each situated metres from the sea on an idyllic crescent shaped beach in northern Mozambique. If you are looking for complete isolation, stunning beaches, world class diving, and a thoroughly spoiling stay, then this is the place for you.

Each of the light spacious chalets are set amongst dunes overlooking Nanatha bay, and have large double beds, wonderful locally made hardwood furniture and views out to the Indian Ocean. The rooms have en-suite facilities to the rear whilst to the front the large verandas are perfect for sunbathing or – in whale season (which runs from June through to early November) to scan the horizon for humpback whales breaching in the bay.

Centrally positioned on the beach is the large decked restaurant and bar area and a fully equipped PADI dive centre. At the other end of the beach, a restaurant has been built atop the coral rocks directly over the sea. The views are spectacular, and after dining you can walk across a rope bridge onto a coral rock island for a siesta on one of a number of day beds hidden amongst the rocks.

What is there to do? Marine activities include all levels of scuba diving, snorkelling, whale and dolphin watching at the right times of year, kayaking and dhow trips exploring the interesting coastline. On the land, visits to the stunning lagoon at nearby Baixo do Pinda are a must, there are also opportunities to visit the local community on whose land the lodge is built.

Families... There are two Family bungalows with additional beds for youngsters. The wonderful location, opportunities to meet local people in a non contrived and normal way, the many of activities, and safe swimming in the protected bay – are all ingredients that could make for a really exciting and engaging family holiday.
