When To Go
There is no bad time to visit Namibia on holiday, but depending on what you wish to see, there are certain months that are better than others. For game viewing the dry season months of May to October are best. Daytime temperatures during this period range from 20 - 30°C, with chilly mornings and evenings.

The rainy season is from November to March, which is also when the temperatures are at their highest, sometimes reaching as high as 45°C in the far north and south of the country.

Birdwatching is best after the rains when numerous flooded depressions attract migrant species. July to December are by far the busiest months for tourism and if you are planning to visit during this time - it is imperative that flights and accommodation are booked as far in advance as possible.

Getting There
Travelling from London Heathrow via Johannesburg (with South African Airways, British Airways or Virgin Atlantic) or via Frankfurt into Windhoek with Air Namibia. Domestic flights connect most of the major towns in Namibia.

Visas
British and US citizens do not require visas.
