As a luxury safari holiday destination, Namibia can boast all the ‘Big Five’ animals. Etosha National Park in the north is one of the great African game parks. To the south Namibia is dominated by the enormous and empty Namib Desert and the giant sand dunes of Sossusvlei (the largest in the world), whilst to west, the remote Skeleton Coast National Park is littered with mysterious shipwrecks and has intriguing desert-adapted plants and animals.

Namibia is one of the world’s true wildernesses. It has the world's highest sand dunes, limitless horizons, staggering geology, wonderful game parks, interesting fauna and flora and fascinating culture.
The capital city, Windhoek, is situated in the geographical heart of Namibia and is the starting place for most safaris. Whilst Sossusvlei, Swakopmund, the Skeleton Coast, Etosha National Park and Fish River Canyon are the most popular destinations – there are almost limitless opportunities to enjoy the wild beauty of this empty land.
Namibia has well maintained road network offering excellent opportunities for self driving holidays. Point your car north from Windhoek and head towards the Etosha Pans, south towards the dunes of the Namib Desert, or west to the pleasant coastal town of Swakopmund.
Equally safaris by air are an excellent option in Namibia. Flying Safaris allow the huge distances to be covered in good time and offer a compelling perspective on the striking desert landscapes. Interspersed with nights in luxury safari lodges, a typical flying safari would visit the giant red dunes of Sossusvlei, then trace the coastline along the desolate Skeleton Coast before heading inland over Damaraland to the mesmerizing Etosha National Park.
