This four day air safari is the perfect way to view this magical landscape and maximise your time on the Skeleton Coast. The safaris utilise light aircraft, which in themselves add an extra dimension as they usually fly at low altitude providing passengers with wonderful aerial views of the landscape and wildlife, whilst each night is spent at a comfortable camp.

Everything is planned to surprise and delight adventurous souls. Light aircraft are used as a safari vehicle to transport passengers (up to eight) from one place of special interest to another, flying at "see" level to give you a breathtaking view before landing to explore by Land Rover or on foot.

The light aircraft are able to hop between remote beaches and private airstrips to achieve a sense of complete wilderness. Each trip is usually escorted by one of the Schoeman family, who acts as pilot, driver and expert guide.

You spend every night in a different area, sleeping in dome tents at tiny permanent camps – Kuidas Camp, beside the dry Huab River; Purros Camp near a spring in the Hoarusib River; and Kunene River Camp, on the lush banks of the Kunene River.

You are invited to reflect on the beauty and solitude of the surrounding desert while relaxing in comfortable, fully equipped tented camps....an experience you will always remember... or another way to look at it would be a true adventure style holiday with the luxury of having your own plane, pilot, luxurious tents and staff.

During the course of a safari, you will experience fascinating bird's-eye views of shipwreck remains along the coast, diverse and ever-changing geological formations and the refuges of desert-dwelling animals such as the endangered black rhino and desert-adapted elephant. As a guest, you are taken on excursions by Land Rover to be introduced to the scenic and ecological aspects of the environment with its wide diversity of flora and fauna.

Accommodation consists of three fully equipped tented desert camps, which nestle into the natural environment. You'll have proper beds, hot bucket showers and usually dine by candlelight under the stars.

The first of these camps is in the lower reaches of the Huab River in the Erongo Region (Damaraland), the second under Camelthorn trees and Makalani palms in the Hoarusib Valley in the Kunene Region (Kaokoland), and the third on the north-western Namibian border overlooking the Kunene River.
