Just a five-minute walk from the centre of town, the new Central Guesthouse in Swakopmund is a good base for those travelling around Namibia, and perfect for self-drivers.

Accommodation is in 7 rooms. There are 2 x double, 4 x twin and a family room which can accommodate 2 x adults and 2 x children. Each room has an en-suite bathroom, flat screen TV and a hairdryer. They have been stylishly furnished with dark mahogany furniture, with extra length beds, orthopedic mattresses and their top quality white linen will ensure a very good nights sleep.

A heater can be requested on those colder, winter nights. Each comfortable room has high-quality, extra-long beds with premium bedding, modern flat screen televisions and a private safe.

A continental or cooked breakfast of bacon and eggs can be ordered in the breakfast room. The management are happy to recommend one of the many bars and restaurants in the town for lunch or dinner. In addition, Swakopmund boasts a great choice of restaurants, shops and museums - many of which are within easy walking distance of the Central Guesthouse.

Breakfast and lunch packs can be ordered by guests who may be away for the day on business or on a day trip in Swakopmund or Walvis Bay.

Children are most welcome at Central Guesthouse and a cot is available for the very youngest member of the family.

There are a wide variety of day trips and activities that can be arranged in Swakopmund and Walvis Bay, including sand boarding, camel riding, parasailing or quad biking.

Main facilities at the Central Guesthouse include a comfortable lounge with an open fire place, and a small dining room, where a buffet-style breakfast is served in the mornings. In the main upstairs hallway there is an honesty bar with a small selection of drinks and sweet and savoury snacks and fruit.
