It has widespread views over Lake Ihema, with a swimming pool just on the edge of the savannah.
There are 58 ensuite rooms and 2 executive ones. They are decorated with an African feel and style, using African print fabrics on the beds and curtains. Each one has a writing desk and chair, satellite TV and a small balcony/patrio overlooking the savannah.
The main activity here is going into Akagera National Park, where you can see, in their different habitats, hippo, buffalo, Burchell's zebra, impala, Masai giraffe, elephant, crocodile etc. Lions are slighty uncommon here as they are in very inaccessible areas.
Birding here is excellent and going on a short boat trip will give you close access to numerous African fish eagles, marabou stork, crowned cranes, open-billed stork, cormorants, herons and egrets.
