Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrive in Kigali.
The best flights are with Kenya Airways via Nairobi, connections are good.

Days 2,3 & 4 - Nyungwe Forest. You will be transferred by your guide to Nyungwe Forest for guided bird and primate walks. On the way down to the forest you will stop at Butare for a city tour as well as being entertained by traditional dancers. The highlights in the forest are the chipm treks as well as the Colobus Monkeys and it is the jewel in the crown for birders!

Day 5 - Transfer to Kibuye on the shores of Lake Kivu. Today is a scenic drive away from the forest. On arrival on the lake shore you will have the afternoon at leisure - either relax on the shores or explore the lake on a boat.

Day 6 - Take a speed boat trip up Lake Kivu to Gisenyi - take an optional Goma visit then continue to the northern shores of the lake. This is the best way to see the local activity on the lake and its also a nice way to travel!! Tonight you will stay in the Rwandan Resort Town of Gisenyi.

Days 7 & 8 - Gorilla tracking. Options to track golden monkeys and visit the Diane Fossey memorial. The first day you will track the mountain gorilla (included in the price) and then the second you can either track again (this needs to be booked in advance circa £350 per person) or you can do a variety of other activities that are a little kinder on the wallet.

Day 9 - Kigali City Tour. Drive back to Kigali where you will be given a tour of the city and you will also visit the Genocide Memorial. you will then be taken off to the airport in time to catch your flight back to the UK.

This itinerary is available from £2,836.00 per person sharing including international flights, transport, accomodation, park fees and most meals and 1 Gorilla permit. Can upgrade to deluxe accommodation for an additional £1,373.00 throughout. Regular departures - contact us.
