Nestled in the unspoiled surroundings of the uKahlamba Drakensberg mountain range (a World Heritage Site) lies Cathedral Peak Hotel, one of South Africa's premier resort hotels. Very spacious deluxe suites have a private verandah and garden and the interleading family deluxe rooms are able to accommodate up to 4 guests in either twin or double beds.

Seven well-appointed executive/honeymoon rooms are set in secluded gardens. Recently refurbished to enhance their appeal and create a luxurious, intimate ambience, these honeymoon rooms all boast a king-size bed, LCD television, telephone, mini bar fridge, electric fireplace, underfloor heating, spa bath, and private verandah with breathtaking views of the Drakensberg mountains.

Superior Room Superior rooms are newly constructed and very spacious elegant rooms. They are ideally situated in the hotel's beautiful gardens. Each room has an en-suite bathroom, tea/coffee making facilities, mini-bar fridge, flat-screen television, under-floor heating, telephone and private veranda.

Cathedral Peak Hotel guests enjoy free daily guided hikes (including walks to Bushman paintings and beautiful waterfalls). There are a choice of 18 different walks and hikes, ranging from gentle river-side ambles suitable for the whole family to the challenging hike and climb to the summit of Cathedral Peak itself.

Bird-spotting enthusiasts can tick off some of the 121 resident species recorded. In addition there is archery, horse and pony rides, mountain bike trails (bikes can be hired), a marked jogging route, tennis, squash, bowls, outdoor chess, beach volleyball, paintball, badminton, floodlit mini-adventure golf, a 10m climbing tower, heated & cold outdoor swimming pools, fly fishing, quad bike riding and helicopter sightseeing flights.
