The reserve has seven distinct habitats which shelter abundant wildlife including Africa's Big Five and over 380 bird species.

Phinda's four main lodges take their names from the habitats in which they are found: Phinda Forest Lodge, Phinda Mountain Lodge, Phinda Vlei Lodge and Phinda Rock Lodge.

Additionally, the exclusive new Phinda Zuka and Phinda Getty are smaller lodges designed for sole use with families in mind.

Safari activities at Phinda Game Reserve are plentiful - enjoy game-drives, interpretive bush walks, canoeing on the Mzinene River, White Rhino tracking, or watch the sunrise or sunset whilst enjoying a Mzinene Riverboat Cruise.
