Cybele Forest Lodge has a welcoming ambience with traditional décor, exquisite antiques and original art. Guests can relax on the veranda at sunset or sample delicious cocktails at the well-stocked bar before enjoying the lodge’s celebrated cuisine.

Accommodation is limited to only 28 guests which ensures a friendly and peaceful atmosphere as well as excellent personal attention from the experienced and attentive staff. Each of the suites and cottages is tastefully decorated to high standards and all enjoy air conditioning, en-suite bathrooms and colourful walled gardens.

Other features include refreshing outside showers and cosy fireplaces which ensure maximum comfort during the cooler months. Six of the suites have private heated pools, while the surrounding gardens also boast a large secluded pool for general use.

The forest spa benefits from a revitalising natural spring and offers a wide range of treatments and therapies designed to rejuvenate body and soul. Facilities include massage and beauty therapy rooms, hydrotherapy baths, a steam room, and high pressure showers.

Guests can gently detox and unwind in stunning surroundings – a genuinely relaxing experience. Other activities include horse riding from Cybele’s private stables, a gymnasium to complement the spa treatments, scenic walks and birdwatching. Hot air ballooning in the nearby Sabie River Valley is easily arranged.

Cybele is also well situated to explore the Panorama Route; an exciting and interesting circuit of sights that include the Blyde River Canyon (the third largest in the world), Bourke’s Luck Potholes, Pilgrims Rest and Gods Window.
