Cheetah Plains Lodge is a luxurious safari lodge experience at an affordable price. Situated within the game-rich Sabi Sand Game Reserve, it has a reputation for an unpretentious atmosphere, encouraging guests to truly relax and enjoy the inspiring South African game in a truly personal manner. Children are always welcome.

Cheetah Plains Lodge caters for a maximum of 16 guests in 8 thatched chalets, all boasting air-conditioning, en-suite bathrooms and mosquito nets. The chalets are set apart from one another in their own gardens, congregating around the unique lodge building and swimming pool.

Cheetah Plains Lodge's communal area offers breath-taking views of the veld, and with two great viewing platforms you can enjoy a refreshing sundowner from the bar whilst watching the activity at the watering hole. There is also a library and a pool for those quiet moments in between game viewing. A full laundry service is also provided.

Breakfast at Cheetah Plains Lodge is a full English buffet. Lunch is simpler and lighter whilst afternoon tea includes fresh bakes. A mouth watering, four-course dinner is either served in the dining room or under the African sky, around a roaring fire.

Djuma and its sister, Vuyatela Lodge, are the only lodges in Djuma Game Reserve in the northern Sabi Sands.  Both lodges offer twice daily game drives and bush walks and guests may also accompany their Shangaan safari guides to visit a local village.  The safari experience here is unique as it combines the Big Five with the history of the reserve and how the Tsongas once lived on this land alongside the animals.
