Vuyatela Lodge

Vuyatela is a beautifully constructed and luxurious safari lodge.  It has 8 secluded kayas (chalets) which consist of a large bedroom, separate lounge, bathroom and outdoor shower, private deck and plunge pool.

The whole of Vuyatela's main lodge overlooks a busy waterhole and there is an open air boma for al fresco dining. Unique features include a giant coke bottle chandelier, an aquarium stocked with indigenous fish and a 20 metre high bird watching tower.

The Rubbing Post is a convenient log, rock or tree that is used by animals such as Rhino, Elepant and Buffalo to scratch that itch and remove their mud bath mud. The Rubbing Post spa and treatment centre is situated at Djuma Game Reserve's Vuyatela Lodge, but services all three Djuma lodges. We all live stressful, busy lives. When we get the chance to be away from all our day-to-day activities we slowly allow our bodies to rejuvenate. Tucked away here in the bush there is the additional benefit of pampering and time to reflect on the positive aspects of our lives with the pampering treatments offered by the resident therapist.

The cultural theme also runs through activities. After morning game-drive guests may accompany their Shangaan guide to his nearby village, where they will have the opportunity of interacting with his family and friends in a very authentic and contemporary African environment.

With its modern and refreshing interior decor Vuyatela is one of those rare places where each part of the equation seems to be just right.Vuyatela and its sister, Cheetah Plains Lodge, are the only lodges in Djuma Game Reserve in the northern Sabi Sands. 

Both lodges offer twice daily game drives and bush walks and guests may also accompany their Shangaan safari guides to visit a local village.
