Makweti Safari Lodge straddles an area of some 15,000 sq kilometres in the Limpopo Province’s Welgevonden Game Reserve only three hours drive or 50 minutes flight from Johannesburg. The main lodge at Makweti is built from natural rock with teak decks overhanging the dramatic Makweti Gorge. The five secluded suites are all individually decorated with antique treasures and plush furnishings and include the following luxury amenities; indoor and outdoor showers, Victorian bathtubs, log fires and private decks with sweeping views of the bush. 

Game drives, morning and evening and walking safaris provide a diversity of game including the largest collection of privately owned white rhino in the world, 16 species of antelope, lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and cheetah as well as the rare brown hyena.
