Marataba

Set within a dramatic landscape encompassing vast plains, deep gorges and majestic mountains, Marataba is an exclusive 23 000 hectare private concession in the heart of Limpopo's Marakele National Park. A sanctuary for Africa's Big Five and a multitude of other animal species including rare antelope such as roan, sable and mountain reedbuck, this malaria-free wilderness is also home to the world's largest breeding colony of the endangered Cape Vulture. 

 

 

Marataba consists of 12 exotic canvas and stone tented suites, exquisitely furnished and decorated with their own private deck overlooking the sweeping plains. Beautiful stone bathrooms include baths and indoor & outdoor showers.

 

The main lodge at Marataba is designed with huge expanses of glass taking full advantage of the spectacular panoramic scenery - enjoy the view from the bar, the dining veranda or one of the lodge's sumptuous lounges.
