Kruger Restcamps | Safari Holidays in South Africa

There are a total of 12 restcamps in the Kruger, linked by a network of roads that allows you to go out game viewing in your own two wheel drive vehicle. Accommodation at the restcamps is in comfortable self catering cottages. Each camp has a restaurant as well as amenities that provide everything you need to self cater - from food and drink to petrol and maps of the national park.

Positioned alongside the Sabie River, Skukuza Restcamp has approximately 200 self catering bungalows and is located in the southern part of the national park. Big game sightings are excellent and a myriad of birds and other wildlife can be easily spotted during bush walks and game drives. Further north Satara Restcamp is much smaller than Skukuza. The area is one of the best spots in the world for viewing lion, leopard and cheetah, and for this reason Satara is often referred to as the 'cat camp'.
