Roggeland Country House
The stately Cape Dutch farmhouse of Roggeland, situated on a farm on the northern outskirts of the historic town of Paarl, has 11 romantic bedrooms with idyllic garden and mountain views.

The main house and other buildings are all National Monuments and the reception areas and bedrooms are comfortably decorated with antiques and other lovely pieces. In the evenings guests can enjoy pre-dinner drinks and locally grown olives on the sweeping lawn in front of the main house as the sun sets over the mountains. Dinners at Roggeland are a gastronomic delight and are announced with the chef calling the guests through to the dining room with a bell. Meals are a set menu of four courses of regional cuisine accompanied by different wines from the area chosen to go with each course.
During the day wine lovers can explore the wine routes of Paarl, Wellington, Stellenbosch and Franschoek and there is also golf, spectacular mountain walking and horse riding.
