Moivaro Coffee Plantation Lodge is set in a beautifully maintained garden a short distance from the Tanzanian town of Arusha.

The lodge has superb views of Mount Meru and is an ideal place in which to relax for a night or two either before or after a safari.

Accommodation comprises 42 comfortably furnished en-suite garden cottages nestling in the midst of tropical trees and coffee plants.

Each cottage is individually placed around the coffee plantation which ensures they are private and very cozy. The interiors are very neat and comfortable.

Each of the 40 picturesque cottages has its own verhanda and there is a swimming pool, children's playground, bar and restaurant as well as jogging path, massage room and internet facilities.

There is a restaurant serving a mix of delicious African and Continental dishes using home grown vegetables. Drinks can be enjoyed in the bar and lounge, while you enjoy the spectacular views.

Facilities include a swimming pool and 40 acres of coffee plantation with a two kilometre nature trail ideal for walking and bird watching.

Other activities that can be arranged include trips to Arusha town and a cultural visit to the local Moivaro village and school where guests can experience real african life.

On a half day walking trip guests can visit the great local banana beer brewery, a locally operated biogas plant, the culture of the Maasai living in the village, the Ngurumansi Crater, and the school and local shops.
