Vuma Hills Tented Camp

Vuma Hills Tented Camp is perched above the trees stretching over the seemingly endless wilderness of the south west of Mikumi national park. There are 16 spacious tents, each with a hot shower, flush toilet and a large veranda overlooking the wooded savannah.

Vuma Hills boasts spacious tents decorated in a colonial style. Each tent features an en-suite bathroom.

Electricity is supplied by generator which runs from 10am to 2pm and again from 6:30pm to 11pm.

The Camp is located on a rocky koppie (hill) on the Mkata flood plain, making this Africa safari lodge ideal for game viewing.

The camp also boasts game viewing at the Mwanamboga waterhole.

Guests staying at this safari camp will be accommodated in custom designed tents on raised wooden platforms overlooking the floodplain below.  

The camp has a freshwater swimming pool offering welcome refreshment after a dusty day on safari.

In the evenings guests can relax in the open-air bar or restaurant, and as the evenings draw to a close you can enjoy a night camp around the camp fire, or star gaze from the 360 degree viewpoint.

Holiday activities on offer include 4x4 game drives in Mikumi, as well as day excursions to the Udzungwa Mountains national park - which is an hours drive away.
