Mwagusi Safari Camp

Overlooking the Mwagusi Sand River, the Mwagusi Safari Camp is ideally positioned to offer some of the best game viewing in Ruaha.  This exclusive camp nestles on the river bank and consists of only ten tents in a secluded setting.  The lodge is designed to give guests an ideal opportunity to experience a traditional old-style safari.

Built in a rustic style within thatched bandas, the tents are comfortable and inviting.  All have an en-suite bathroom with a flushing toilet and hot shower. Guests can relax on their own private veranda with some of the best game viewing opportunities available.  It is not uncommon to see huge herds of buffalo drinking at the adjacent watering hole.

Activities at Mwagusi include game drives in well equipped 4WD vehicles and walking safaris accompanied by an experienced guide.  Every effort is made to keep vehicle disturbance to a minimum, creating a relaxed environment that enables guests to make the most of the sights and sounds of the countryside.
