The accommodation is comprised of 9 standard beach and lagoon facing chalets and 4 'Upepo' suites. The lodge is flanked by a fresh water lagoon abutting a coastal forest that spills onto an deserted beach.

Each of the standard chalets are constructed from natural local materials, and have their own en suite bathrooms and a large veranda offering views over the sea.

The 4 Upepo Suites are named after the Swahili word for 'breeze' and are spacious airy suites set apart from the main lodge and come complete with large front verandas with Swahili day-beds and hammocks from which to survey the crescent bay and the jade waters of the Indian Ocean.

Each of the Upepo suites has a private plunge pool, 8ft wide double bed and a large en suite bathroom with dressing area.

Activities are varied although relaxation is very much a priority here. During the day, relaxing on the beach is a firm favourite, whilst the more adventurous can surf, snorkel or kayak on the freshwater lagoon, or explore the beach horseback.

The main guest area consists of a soaring thatch structure leading directly down to the beach, and in the evenings, meals and drinks are often served under the stars.
