On the Zambian side of the river the historic town of Livingstone, named after the famous Victorian missionary explorer of the same name, has much to offer. A former capital of Zambia, Livingstone has the country's biggest and oldest museum and access to superlative views of Victoria Falls. Holiday accommodation on the Zambian side of Victoria Falls is primarily on the banks of the Zambezi, as opposed to being in Livingstone town.
