The Reserve is unfenced, allowing for the free movement of animals between Botswana’s Chobe National Park and the Zambezi National Park.

This lodge offers diverse seasonal game viewing with expert rangers including large herds of buffalo and elephant, kudu, wild dog and sable and roan antelope.

Matetsi Water Lodge is made up of three intimate lodges. Each lodge consists of just six spacious suites situated to ensure absolute privacy.


Vast teak doors open onto a deck, plunge pool and magnificent view of the Zambezi River. The huge bathroom has twin hand basins, separate w.c., bath, and indoor and outdoor shower.

The three lodges are located on the banks of the Zambezi River under a canopy of mangosteen and waterberry trees. Each lodge has its own guest area consisting of a covered open-sided thatched sitting area with fireplace.

Dinner is enjoyed under the stars on the banks of the River. Twice daily game-drives in open 4x4 game viewing vehicles, daily nature walks on the Reserve led by professional rangers, exciting spotlit night drives, morning and afternoon riverboat cruises along the Zambezi River and fishing excursions.

Complimentary daily shuttle into Victoria Falls town takes you to all the adventure activities on offer (at an additional cost).
