Lower Zambezi National Park
Some 450 kilometres downstream from Victoria Falls the great Zambezi River widens into the fertile floodplains of the Lower Zambezi valley. Rocky escarpments, scrub bush and over 120 kms of river frontage sustain prolific and varied wildlife. There are large prides of lion, wild dog, hyena and leopard. Huge buffalo herds roam the grasslands and elephants are frequently seen wading in the river. Activities include game drives, walking, fishing and canoeing safaris which are a particular highlight.
